After over several months in prison, New Orleans rapper Kevin Gates is a free man. Gates was released this morning (Wednesday, Jan 10) from the East Moline Correctional Center. The release of Gates is via parole.
Originally given a 30-month prison sentence for a felony gun possession, Gates only served nine months behind bars. As written here, Gates already has plans to mentor troubled youth. Gates’ goal is to make sure the teens he potentially mentors don’t go down the same path he did.
