Eve, who is a host on the popular talk show The Talk, spoke about the early beginnings of her relationship with Lil Kim. During one of last week’s episodes, Eve went into detail about how Kim used to ignore her in a lot of situations.
“When I first started in the business, I’d been a big, big giant fan of Lil Kim,” Eve says in a clip. “And I just thought that there was this sisterhood in the music business, so I would run up to her and be like, ‘Oh my god Kim, oh my god, hey girl I love you so much. I just got signed, could you please be on my album?” and whatever, and she’d just look at me, like, ‘Uh uh. Yeah Ok.’ “I kept going up to her, kept going up to her, and finally I was like, ‘Ok I should stop. I should stop going up to her,” she continues. “And I don’t think it’s that she hated me, I think I was just so overexcited to see her.”
In response, Kim took to twitter to clear up perception as the “bad guy” in the story.
Why do you girls always do this to me?Trying to make me out to be the bad guy?I don’t remember it that way at all?@TheRealEve is my girl that’s my baby y’all. We are not fighting. We are real friends. We can have this debate and still cuddle on the couch and watch a movie 2gether.. https://t.co/NYHWBstAv0

It’s clear that this is sisterly debate and not a beef but a representation of how women in hip hop should continue to support each other in their endeavors.
