After 15 years The Grammy Awards will return to New York City at Madison Square Garden in two weeks in New York City on January 28th. To the delight of many, Kendrick Lamar will open this year’s show.

Lamar, who is celebrated with seven Grammy nominations is set to perform, but many are wondering if he is going to be the set of the night. Performers like Sam Smith, U2, Miley Cyrus are gunning for the crown. But rumors that Elton John and Miley are performing together has other mic rockers shaking in their boots! With Elton receiving the 2018 President’s Merit Award, The Rocket Man is sure to go all out.

Still we have out money on Kendrick.

Kendrick recently performed at the College Football National Championship where he performed hits like “DNA,” “HUMBLE” and “ELEMENT.” This free event in Atlanta, Georgia’s Piedmont Park was not just a dope gift to the students, but a space where he not only debuted an exclusive trailer for the movie Black Panther, but announced that he will be a co-executive producer to the soundtrack.

Other Hip-Hop influenced performances on this year’s Grammy’s will be had by SZA, Cardi B, Bruno Mars, Khalid and Childish Gambino.
