In the exclusive one minute clip, Cube talks about how performing at the legendary theatre made the gangsta crew nervous.

“We were familiar with the show Showtime at the Apollo, so we knew what to expect, we just didn’t want to get booed.”

Although the legendary group, who was lesser known at the time, were confident they would avoid the sound that killed the dreams of so many, Cube revealed that the crowd saw their infamous Jehri Curls and they too partook in the booing of the Apollo crowd.

“We said man we aren’t going to get booed and we went out on the stage and before we could even say anything they saw out Jehri Curls and just started booing,” Cube reminisced. “I mean Kurtis Blow had one, why couldn’t we [laughs].”

Cube isn’t the only star to be featured in the new series, Oscar-nominated actress Taraji P. Henson talks “Proud Mary,” Grammy Award-winning rapper and producer 50 Cent, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Gerard Butler and Pablo Schreiber discuss their new crime drama “Den of Thieves,” Timbaland tells all about his classic hits with Justin Timberlake, Missy Elliott, Pharrell and Jay-Z, and dream pop singer Gus Dapperton reflects on his life before becoming famous.

Complex x Fuse airs tonight at 11 p.m. ET/PT on Fuse.
