Veganism has become the latest health trend, and many of celebrities have adopted the lifestyle. Mya, Stevie Wonder, Russell Simmons, Jennifer Lopez and many others are vegan.
Atlanta rapper Waka Flocka Flame‘s vegan lifestyle recently became well-known, but he had been on a plant based diet since 2014. He was in the process of creating vegan edibles. According to him, he just didn’t want to be fat anymore and was tired of the heavy breathing. In one month he had gained over 45 pounds, and knew it was time for a change.
Now, Flocka has decided he will not be vegan anymore. He is now a “conscious eater” as he calls it. He stated in an interview with Paper Mag that the public scared him from being vegan.
“I got so conditioned, I got blinded from what’s really vegan. I got conditioned to just reading the label, and somebody says it’s vegan, so therefore it’s healthy. And it really wasn’t vegan…I’m at a crisis with myself.”
He also called vegans scary, saying they are like cops. The rapper will continue to watch what he eats and live a healthier lifestyle, but he has dropped the vegan card.
In other news, Waka has completed his upcoming album and is getting ready to drop a mixtape, so look out for new music from him.
