Phoenix Suns backup point guard Isaiah Canaan suffered a broken left ankle during Wednesday night’s 102-88 victory over the Dallas Mavericks.
In an incident that looked scarily similar to Gordon Hayward’s leg break at the start of the season; Canaan was surprisingly calm as he lay on the court, despite his foot clearly pointing in the wrong direction.

While waiting for medical attention, Canaan remained notably calm, likely due to shock and/or adrenaline.
It wasn’t long before other NBA players began to share messages of support for Canaan on social media.

The 26-year-old Canaan, is in his first season with the Suns, who signed him in mid-December. Earlier in the season, he had spent time with the Rockets before being waived after appearing in just one game, but he played well enough with Phoenix to have been signed for the rest of the season.
Hopefully he heals up and can resume his NBA career at some point.
