It’s no doubt that Talib Kweli and Yasiin Bey (formerly Mos Def) are two of the most prolific MCs and together formed one of the most innovative underground groups in the game. After a recent post on social media, it seems that fans may finally be getting the long-awaited follow up album soon.

Although the picture is the only hint at anything in the works that Kweli has posted, it didn’t stop fans from running with theories that Mos Def and Talib Kweli are working on the Black Star sophomore album.

Last year, after Bey’s announced retirement, Kweli and Bey performed three shows together as Black Star in Santa Ana, Los Angeles, and San Diego. Adding special dates over the summer, as guests at Chappelle’s Radio City Music Hall run.

Earlier this month, Kanye and Kim Kardashian-West welcomed their third child, Chicago West. Kanye also recently received a production credit on Migos’ “BBO (Bad Bitches Only) record,” from the trio’s new album Culture II. Kweli released Radio Silence in 2017, while Bey’s last record was 2016’s December 99th.

In addition to working on a possible Black Star reunion and having a plethora of Migos music, Kanye West is also the Executive producer on Teyana Taylor‘s upcoming untitled album.

During an interview with Oyster Magazine, Taylor reveals that working with Kanye has definitely captured a new side of her as an artist.

“The album is actually done, just waiting on some minor tweaks and whatever last minute switches or edits and a green light from Kanye and should be good to go,” Teyanna said. “Mr. West is EP-ing my entire album. You guys will just have to wait and see what magic he’s created.”

Hopefully, we will get to hear all of Kanye’s creative genius in 2018.
