The critically acclaimed Anderson .Paak says his third solo effort is t expected to release this year. In 2016, .Paak had a banner year, releasing his second solo album as Anderson .Paak (previously Breezy LoveJoy), titled Malibu and released a collaborative project Yes Lawd! with producer Knxwledge as the group NxWorries. After a taking 2017 off, .Paak is getting back to work.

Recently, .Paak released news that would excite his fans. In an interview with the Australian radio station triple j, .Paak stated that Dr. Dre will be heavily involved with his upcoming project.

Anderson .Paak says his Aftermath Entertainment label big boss, Dr. Dre, “had a heavy role in this new album that’s almost done as well. Just going through the mixing phase. I won’t say any dates but you can definitely expect it this year, sometime.”

“It’s dope to be around like legends like that and you can feel the mutual respect. That’s what I always did it for, I wasn’t really thinking about money or fame, I just wanted the respect from the people I look up to musically. It’s amazing.”

The two first worked together on Dre’s last studio effort, Compton. .Paak performed on six tracks on Dre’s project, immediately putting him on the radar. But until the new project is released, you can check .Paak out this Friday coming, as he’s on the Black Panther movie soundtrack on a track titled “Muddy Waters.”
