Snoop Dogg and 2 Chainz in coordination with Adidas are hosting the first annual Hip-Hop All Star game. Snoop and 2 Chainz both recruited ten All-star rappers to play on their teams and compete during the NBA All-Star weekend in Los Angeles and it looks like they’re recruiting some real competitive artists. The West Coast legend and the Atlanta trap rapper announced their teams on Instagram Sunday.

Team Snoop Dogg includes artists like Chris Brown, David Banner and K Camp. Another notable player on team Snoop is Battle Rapper and Wild’n Out star Hitman Holla, who before taking the battle rap route, played college basketball at the University of Missouri – St. Louis and later played professional basketball overseas in Spain. Daylyt is another former baller turned battle rapper who has posted videos hooping showing his ability.

As for team Deuce — Quavo, French Montana, and Fabolous are some of the rappers participating in the event. Quavo was a high school star football player, but there is video of the left-handed rapper shooting hoops and his ability looks like it could be a threat to Team Snoop. Wale is another athlete turned rap star who once played Division one football. Wale played in the NBA Celebrity All-Star game in 2014 and admittedly didn’t perform to his liking, but is hoping to shine in his 2018 game against other rappers.

Two female rappers have been recruited for the game as well. Oakland rapper Kamaiyah will play for team Snoop, and Brooklyn MC Young M.A. will play for Team 2 Chainz.

We can assume that 46-year-old Snoop Dogg will only be coaching in the game, but 2 Chainz seems to be teasing the idea of making a court apperance.

The “It’s a Vibe” rapper recently posted video on Instagram of his return to the court after breaking his leg in July. Chainz a former hoop star himself, captioned the video, “I broke my leg in July so I’ll be the first to say I lost a step or two . My rhythm is off but the main thing is I’m walking again something I took for granted.”

The game takes place February 16. You can see the full rosters below.
