The exceedingly iconic Nigerian-British songbird, Sade Adu will soon rise out of her universal bound musically absorbed hiatus. For the first time in seven years, the singer will release a new song titled “Flower of the Universe” and this time the drop is for the soundtrack to Ava DuVernay‘s Disney film A Wrinkle In Time which is set to debut on March 9.
DuVernay took to Twitter to break the news about the film’s soundtrack and its grandiose addition which lead to a fury of Sade appreciation all over social media. “I never thought she’d say yes, but asked anyway. She was kind + giving. A goddess. We began a journey together that I’ll never forget. Proud to announce that Sade has created an original song for WRINKLE IN TIME. The soundtrack also features Chloe x Halle, Kehlani, Sia, DJ Khaled, Demi Lovato, among more, yet are inclusive in comparison to the “Sweetest Taboo” singer’s contribution. Sade’s most recent effort trails back to a studio album, 2010’s Soldier of Love with her titular band.
A Wrinkle In Time is an adventurous science fantasy film about a young girl who is sent on a quest to space to find her scientist of a father. The film stars Oprah Winfrey, Resse Witherspoon, Mindy Kaling, Storm Reid, and more.
Sade stans are on critical standby as the resurgence of the treasured songstress putting into retrospect her most favored hymns, mesmerizing beauty and unmatched sense of style.
