DJ Ease of Las Vegas was recently crowned the International Turntablist Of The Year for 2018 by Global Spin Awards earlier this week in LA, as premiered on REVOLT TV and hosted by Snoop Dogg at the lavish award ceremony.
DJ Ease has been perfecting his craft for many years as both a DJ and a producer, and has taken out many DJ titles across America including in Miami, Las Vegas and New York. He took out the award over the other top five finalists which included Jimmi Riggz (Canada), reigning two-time Australian DMC Champion and 2017 World DMC finalist DJ Osyris (Australia), reigning 2017 DMC World Champion DJ Rena at only 13 years of age (Japan) and fellow American DJ Perly (2017 USA DMC Champion).
Other winners at the Global Spin Awards for 2018 including DJ Khaled as both DJ Of The Year and Hip Hop DJ Of The Year, DJ Camilo as National Club DJ Of The Year, DJ Carisma as Female DJ Of The Year, Diplo as International DJ Of The Year and DJ Drama/Don Cannon – Generation Now as DJ Record Label Of The Year amongst others. The star-studded event featured performances from the likes of Nipsey Hussle, Ludacris, Jermaine Dupri, Fabolous, Jadakiss, A Boogie, Diddy and represented a significant evening in recognising the importance of the DJ to hip-hop and beyond still today.
He is a four-time DMC Regional Champ, and recently won the 2017 Red Bull 3Style USA final among a stack of other domestic titles. The highly versatile DJ has also opened for the like of Nas, N.E.R.D, Young M.A, Grandmaster Flash, Beastie Boys, Big Sean, B.O.B among many others and has played many of the biggest nightclubs across Europe, Asia and America.
