While interviewing with Ebro Darden on Beats 1, Luda gave fans a preview of what fans can expect on the upcoming season which he dubbed “the season from hell.”

“Man, ‘Fear Factor’ — I’m one of those people that just love having fun man and part of the reason that I wanted to do this was because I was obviously a fan of the first one with Joe Rogan,” Luda said.” But now that so much time has elapsed since the first time that they did it — and now that you got new technology, you got GoPro cameras, you got millennials that are scared of losing their phones — so we kind of incorporate all of that into, you know, kind of making this new and just making it all completely different, and dealing with people’s anxieties and personal hells—doing homework on what they’re most scared of as opposed to just generally having to do random stuff.”

About his role with the revamped show, Luda explains that he’s more than a host but he also executive produces the show as well.

” It’s like executive producer and host, I guess. It’s not a game show. It’s more of a—you could just say host, it’s generally speaking—but I would definitely say executive producer title as well. When you start messing around it’s like all of these different things are art for me and I’m just a curious person. I’m sure a lot of us are. A lot of hustlers are very curious. And when you’re in the realm of entertainment, you kind of want to go try different things out and try and conquer different worlds so this is my—this is the television chapter of Ludacris’ life —TV host-producer.”

But it wasn’t all TV talk, Ludacris also blessed fans with a snippet from an unreleased track with Jadakiss, “Knock Yourself Out Remix”, which features the two bodying a Neptunes beat.

“Probably one that never came out on his record, on Jadakiss record “Knock Yourself Out”. Next time you see Jadakiss ask him to play you the Ludacris verse of “Knock Yourself Out”. I tell you, man, that thing was — I got to get a copy of it, I got to go back and listen to it myself.”

In regards to the Fast and Furious franchise, Luda reveals that he is working on the eighth installment of the film, which is set to hit theaters in 2020, while filming Fear Factor’s second season.

“We made it to where we have the option to if they want to continue doing it and it works out for us schedule, then we’re able to do it. Luckily that second season was like right carved in between all this craziness going on with ‘Fast and Furious’ and—luckily we’ll be shooting ‘Fast and Furious’ next year, and it’ll be ‘Fast and Furious 9’ coming out in 2020 and then we end the franchise — this is what I’m hearing—on 10 and that’s supposed to be 2022. You know that I entered in two, came back in five, six, seven, eight and I mean it’s been a blessing ever since man. Nobody knew.”
