Looks like Kendrick Lamar could add the title of acting to his ever-impressive resume. In an interview with BBC Radio-1 last Thursday, The Compton native shared that he would like to appear in the next Black Panther film. Not just a little cameo, either. Kung-Fu Kenny wants to play a super-villian to match the level of Michael B. Jordan’s character, Erik Killmonger.

Kendrick explained that he “enjoyed Killmonger’s character, just off the simple fact that he was a villain but he was dropping them jewels”. He stated Killmonger was “loved and misunderstood” and if given the opportunity to play a “Killmonger”, he would go that route. Lamar had contributed to the million dollar blockbuster in a major way, developing the film’s soundtrack with adding spots for his fellow TDE (Top Dawg Entertainment) labelmates such as SZA, Jay Rock, and Schoolboy Q, as well as up and coming Bay-Area rappers SOB X RBE.

Black Panther continues to dominate at the box office, with the film making another $108 million during its second weekend on screen, for the second highest second weekend of all-time between Jurassic World and Star Wars: The Force Awakens. To date, the movie has made over $700 million globally, with $400 million from U.S Markets.
