Former First Lady Michelle Obama is set to release her memoir Becoming this fall on November 13. Obama tweeted out the news this past Sunday, February 25 stating,

“Writing BECOMING has been a deeply personal experience. I talk about my roots and how a girl from the South Side found her voice. I hope my journey inspires readers to find the courage to become whoever they aspire to be. I can’t wait to share my story.”

The publisher, Penguin Random House, in which Mr. and Mrs. Obama signed a joint deal with in 2017, also shared in a statement describing Becoming as, “an intimate reckoning from a woman of soul and substance who has steadily defied expectations — and whose story inspires us to do the same.” Upon the memoir’s release, Obama will take part in an international book tour.

Becoming will be printed in 24 languages and will retail for $32.50 in the United States.
