The Decision 3.0 is the leading headline for this NBA offseason and since the conclusion of the NBA Finals, the world has not heard a word from LeBron James. The NBA Draft is Thursday and rumors are flying on if his Cleveland Cavaliers are going to trade their No. 8 pick to get King James more help or prepare for a rebuild. The rest of the league is wondering where the King will land, but Houston Rocket and Bron’s Banana Boat Buddy Chris Paul believes Los Angeles has the inside track to secure the superstar.
ESPN’s Stephan A. Smith shared on his podcast that CP3 has told people that LeBron prefers to play in L.A. than Houston and that will be a hurdle in any Rockets recruitment effort. “Chris Paul is telling folks LeBron ain’t trying to come to Houston, he wants to be in L.A.,” Smith shared.
The rumored sentiment is that LeBron is not a fan of Houston as a city and much has already been made about the property he owns in Los Angeles, along with his family looking to relocate there.
James has until June 29 to let the Cavs know if he will opt into his contract, however, that may not be a direct indication if he will stay as he may look to restructure his deal. Also, keep your eyes on the NBA Draft. If the Cavs trade their pick in a swap for a superstar, like Kawhi Leonard of the San Antonio Spurs, it may point to what may be going on behind closed doors.
