G-Unit and Wu-Tang are staples in New York and Hip-Hop history, so when Young Buck and Raekwon team up on a nostalgic track to bring the grimy sound back, Hip-Hop listens.
On the DJ Whoo Kid produced track, “NY Sh*t”, Young Buck and Raekwon trade bars as they spit deliver a heavy New York banger that delivers a hint of nostalgia for any fans of G-Unit’s mixtape days.
The Nashville native taps into his New York state of mind as he spits:
“My Puerto Ricans in the Bronx got bricks like Chapo/ I bring terror to n***as squads like my name Fat Joe/ I’m a project n***a, Marcy n***a my hat low/ My Queens n***as have you sayin’ ‘what you do that fo’.”
Young Buck has been going hard with releases since December, the G-Unit emcee released his well-received mixtape, 10 Street Commandments and followed up with a video for “Run Off.” In addition to new music, earlier this year news broke that Buck’s next project will be executive produced by 50 Cent and Dr. Dre.
