Hip-Hop continues to mourn the death of XXXTentacion after his murder on Monday (June 18). With outpours of rest in peace wishes and memories shared on Instagram from friends and fans alike, X’s short time in rap was appreciated. Of those showing love to the memory of X was Tory Lanez who performed “Look At Me!” in honor of the late rapper.

Lanez offered an earlier tribute to X when he offered condolences via his Instagram story. During his time on stage, Tory took a moment to honor the Florida rapper with a moment of silence before erupting into an energetic performance of the song that introduced X to the mainstream. The crowd roared back in response bouncing to every bar.

Tory Lanez shared the moment on Instagram stating, “RIP X …. lost another soldier to violence .. really felt like this nigga was my dawg through his music . We were just about to wrk too. .. had to do this 1time.”

It’s sad that the two didn’t work, which is likely the case for many artists who admired X. While we won’t have his presence in the future, his spirit will live in his music as evident in the video below.
