Authorities have made a break in the fatal shooting of XXXTentacion. One man is now in police custody.
Page Six reports The Broward County Sherriff’s Office released a statement Thursday morning (June 21) that 22-year-old Dedrick Devonshay Williams was arrested Wednesday night. He has been charged with first-degree murder without premeditation.
In addition, Williams was charged with driving without a valid license as well as a violating probation because he was already on probation for auto theft.
20-year old XXX was gunned down Monday afternoon after being shot outside a motorcycle dealership in Deerfield Beach, Florida.
TMZ reports three arrest warrants were issued and two other suspects have yet to be brought in. Meanwhile, fans have gathered throughout the country to hold vigils in honor of the young rapper.
Before his death, the rapper was working on setting up a charity for suicide prevention. His mother took over his Twitter account to announce that those events would continue this weekend to honor her son’s dying wish.
