Summerville, S.C. resident Stephanie Sebby-Strempel, who was given the moniker #PoolPatrolPaula after tormenting a 15-year-old Black boy at a pool, is under fire after the Summerville Police Department charged her with one count of third-degree assault and battery and two counts of assaulting, beating or wounding a police officer while resisting arrest, CBS News reports.

The 38-year-old woman started screaming the teen and his friends as they were enjoying a day at the pool.

White Woman Attacks Black Teen at Pool A 15 year old was assaulted while at a pool with his friends by a lady named #StephanieSebbyStrempel. In the video you can see her being extremely aggressive, invading his personal space and calling him and his friends little punks!!! Not on the video are the racial slurs that came before her making contact striking him twice because he was smart enough to record her!!!! She was arrested and when the officers arrived and didn't take her side she resisted arrest by attacking and biting an officer's hand! #staywoke These white supremacists don't want #melanin in the pool with them. This summer make sure your children are safe! #southcarolina #blackconsciousness #PoolPatty

Sebby-Strempel referred to the victim and his friends as “punks” and told them they “didn’t belong” at the pool. She went on to hit him in the face twice according to reports. She also tells the victim she has three words for him “9-1-1.”

CBS News says, “The swimming pool victim told police officers that he was staying at a friend’s house…The friend’s father told police that they have a family friend who lives in the Reminisce Community, where the pool is located, and the family friend extended an invitation to the teens to go swimming at the pool.”

But regardless of who invited the boys to the pool, #PoolPatrolPaula has no right to get violent or verbally abusive in any way.

This incident is the latest breathing-while-Black incident to take place in the past few months.
