After #BBQPatty, #PermitPatty and #IncidentIrene, the Internet was introduced to #PoolPatrolPaula this past Wednesday (June 27).
Summerville, S.C. resident Stephanie Sebby-Strempel, who was given the moniker #PoolPatrolPaula after tormenting a 15-year-old Black boy at a pool, is under fire after the Summerville Police Department charged her with one count of third-degree assault and battery and two counts of assaulting, beating or wounding a police officer while resisting arrest, CBS News reports.
The 38-year-old woman started screaming the teen and his friends as they were enjoying a day at the pool.
The victim filmed the incident, and ultimately watched it go viral after someone by the name of Rhe Capers posted the footage on Facebook.
Sebby-Strempel referred to the victim and his friends as “punks” and told them they “didn’t belong” at the pool. She went on to hit him in the face twice according to reports. She also tells the victim she has three words for him “9-1-1.”
CBS News says, “The swimming pool victim told police officers that he was staying at a friend’s house…The friend’s father told police that they have a family friend who lives in the Reminisce Community, where the pool is located, and the family friend extended an invitation to the teens to go swimming at the pool.”
But regardless of who invited the boys to the pool, #PoolPatrolPaula has no right to get violent or verbally abusive in any way.
This incident is the latest breathing-while-Black incident to take place in the past few months.

#PoolPatrolPaula how in the heck did she manage to assault children AND two cops (shoving one and biting another), yet didn’t get injured or shot… yet black people get shot up for being alive??? Honestly, that shows how #Hypocritical things are in the US https://t.co/aC3HQWLXoe
