Released on June 29 through Young Money Entertainment, Scorpion has already broken the one-week record for U.S. streams with over a whopping 435 million streams in just three days. Such success will knock Post Malone’s beerbongs and bentleys, which debuted at number one back in May with 431.3 over the course of seven full days and sold 461,000 units in its first week. Forecasters expect to see Scorpion reach over 700 million streams of its tracks amid its first week in the U.S. In the aspect of traditional album sales, Billboard reports the album would’ve sold 200,000 copies. The CD version is set to be released on July 13.

Shall Scorpion continue to reign victorious in its debut, it will also make the Canadian rapper the record holder for the largest selling units for a number one album knocking Taylor Swift’s reputation which sold 1.238 million units in its first week. With the reality of how the album’s single’s “God’s Plan,” “Nice for What,” and “I’m Upset” attacked the charts, to predict that this album won’t exceed this milestone is a direct understatement. Numbers in this case, surely count.
