However, based on new images shared by Jordan Brand employee Frank Cooker, these unreleased Jordan 6’s may change their mind.

Dubbed “Purple Rain,” this new rendition of the six features an eggplant-purple suede upper, garnished with  Jumpman logos across the tongue. In contrast, the upper also features laces dressed in a deeper purple complete with a white lace lock. Sitting atop a duller purple midsole with a semi-translucent outsole to finish off the look.

If your opinion on newer J’s has changed upon examining the images, you’ll still have to wait on these because a general release has not been announced yet.

Still, this isn’t the first time we’ve seen a decked out purple Jordan 6. Back in 2015, the brand released the “Purple Dynasty” pack which favors the unreleased version except the dynasty pack had less contrasting tones.

All things considered, are you feeling the Purple Rain Jordan 6? Whether these make it to your closet or not, you’d want to have some fire kicks tucked away for our next Source Kickback Series.
