Did you know that Cardi B auditioned for a role on Lee Daniels’ new series, STAR? Apparently, he was enamored with the then-social media sensation when they first met that he asked to take a selfie video that he uploaded to his Instagram account.
In a recent interview, the director said Mona Scott Young saw the video of the Bronx native on Daniels’ page and cast her for season 6 of Love and Hip Hop: New York. In other words, although Lee didn’t cast Bardi for a role on the series, he helped propel her career with his post.
