SpaceX CEO, Elon Musk, has made a pledge to help pay for clean water in Flint, Michigan. The billionaire announced his commitment to helping Flint via Twitter on Wednesday. “Please consider this a commitment that I will fund fixing the water in any house in Flint that has water contamination above FDA levels. No kidding.”

Flint has been dealing with a crisis involving lead in water that has mainly affected children. The crisis came after government officials in Flint decided to switch their water source to the Flint River in an effort to save money. After there was high lead levels were found in the water, officials switched back to their original water source but the damage was already done. This story gained national headlines and became a major topic for debate during the 2016 election.

Musk has not been shy about adding his assistance where its need. The tech industry leader recently offered a helping hand with the rescue of the Thailand soccer team that was trapped in a cave for more than two weeks. Musk offered his “mini sub” to help divers navigate the cave but the Thai Navy SEALs ultimately did not use the technology. Musk still left the mini sub in Thailand if it should be necessary for the future.
