As soccer fans everywhere prepare for the World Cup Final this weekend — we hope your team is playing on Sunday! — the crew over at Bleacher Report just cooked up something that both rap fans and football club aficionados will appreciate. You might even recognize a familiar face. Or six.
Linking with Hip-Hop stars 21 Savage, Vince Staples, Vic Mensa, SmokePurpp, YBN Nahmir and legends of the bunch The Roots, Bleacher Report was able to get each artist to design their own soccer jerseys and T-shirt. All six MCs threw their personal style into the mix, which also tied back to each respective rapper’s hometown. For instance, 21’s jersey features a “Zone 6” motif that directly brings to mind the East Atlanta area where he hails from.
