Kanye West has his hands in everything from music to fashion and will now work to get you to sit down at a table at a restaurant created in honor of his mother. Reports state Yeezy is planning to open a restaurant that will serve food similar to that of his mother’s home cooking.
A source to RadarOnline reports Kanye is currently looking for locations in Calabasas, California to host the flagship restaurant.
“He has this vision of creating high-end comfort food just like his mom used to make – but with a price tag that’s as eye-watering as it is mouth-watering, of course,” the source shared.
The report states Kanye’s decision to enter the restaurant industry comes after observing how Nas launched two successful Sweet Chick franchises in Los Angeles and New York City. Kanye has once before played in the restaurant industry. Back in 2008, he brought the Fatburger franchise to Chicago.
Kanye’s trek into the restaurant industry is not taking away from his work musically. The seven-track album maestro reportedly will be in Chicago this month helping Chance the Rapper create his next album. “Working under him, working with him on his albums is crazy, but having him tell me that he wants to produce my album and come to Chicago is like . . . This month, we’re working in Chicago,” Chance said of the collaboration.
