It has been four years since Bobby Shmurda, whose government name is Ackquille Pollard, was arrested on multiple charges. Last week, fans received both a photo and message from the mother of the NYC artist.
On the phone conversation with his mother, Shmurda said he would be released as soon as 2020. Now we have gotten confirmation. On Thursday, June 19 Thisis50.com got in contact with Pollard to talk about his a number of subject matters, including his prison release.
“I got two years left,” said the “Hot N****” rapper. “2020 I’m coming out and f*****g everything up.” Being behind bars has left a hunger in Bobby to make a splash upon his release. Aside from his release, he acknowledged the young rappers who currently have an impact on the game. He gave praises to NBA Youngboy and Atlanta rappers, Lil Baby and Gunna. In addition, he cleared the air about any rumors surrounding beef with another NYC rapper, Tekashi 6ix9ine.
“There’s no problems. I been hearing a whole bunch of crazy shit and me out of everybody should know better not to listen whats going on and shit,” he said about 6ix9ine. “First of all, I seen all the colors in the hair and all that crazy shit I started laughing like what the fuck is going on with this nigga, and this is entertainment. Nigga gotta express himself the way he wanna express himself. That’s for all entertainers.”
Bobby Shmurda seems like he is in good spirits. He also shouted out Migos and for fellow NYC artist and Trap Selena, Cardi B. “Y’all suppose to look at that and get motivation,” said Shmurda.
