Tekashi 6ix9ine has a new song out but that will be overshadowed by news that he was robbed and kidnapped. TMZ reports the “Fefe” rapper was kidnapped, pistol-whipped and robbed after a video shoot. He is now in the hospital.
The report states after he wrapped a video in Brooklyn early Sunday morning he drove home and was blocked in his driveway by another car. Three gunmen got out of the car and pistol-whipped Tekashi unconscious. From there he was in the back of a car and was told that if he didn’t comply with their demands of jewelry and money they would kill him.
The gunmen and Tekashi returned to the rapper’s home and two of them reportedly ran through his home and took up to $750,000 jewelry and nearly $20,000 in cash. 6ix9ine’s daughter and her mother were in the house but were not harmed. After the home robbery, the gunmen allegedly drove off with 6ix9ine in the car before he managed to escape, flee and get help from a civilian.
The rapper received help from local authorities and was taken to a hospital by ambulance where tests are being run.
We’ll provide updates as they become available.
Update: TMZ states Tekashi spoke with police and stated that he was a passenger in a Chevy Tahoe in Brooklyn that was bumped and he was snatched from the vehicle and driven away. Why didn’t the driver call the police? The gunmen allegedly stole his iPhone in the attack. 6ix9ine reportedly called inside his home to have jewelry collected by his baby mother and handed to the gunmen. Tekashi did escape and checked himself into the hospital but became uncooperative with authorities.
