Thoughts and prayers go out to Tsu Surf right now. In case you missed it, the rapper was shot multiple times in Newark, New Jersey. Fortunately, he was rushed to the hospital where he is believed to be in stable condition.
As one of the most respected competitors in the industry, there has been a large outcry of support from his peers. These include the likes of SMACK/URL owner Eric Beasley, Champion commentator JayBlac and more.
Details remain scarce but we now know that Surf was hit at least three times, once in the body with additional shots fired into his arm and wrist.
“Prayers out to the family, I think he needs to get out of that environment,” said JayBlac.
We spoke with fellow rapper Cortez who also echoed the dangers which come with achieving success in the industry. “When you reach a certain status, you have to move a certain way, I pray those around him help him get to a speedy recovery,” he said.
When we spoke to Shotgun Suge who encouraged all to “pray for my bro. He gon (sic) make it through this inshallah.”
Rapper Arsonal also shared his prayers and well wishes via Twitter. Clearly, the news of Surf being shot has impacted the rap community.
