With her love life in perspective, Mel B is on the verge of releasing her new autobiography and thanks to legal gag, she has been blocked from discussing details about her relationship with her ex-boyfriend, Eddie Murphy. According to The Sun, she will face a hefty payout if she discusses their relationship in the book.

Titled Brutally Honest, the Spice Girl star chronicles her most toxic public relations at most, about the men in her life. Mel B and Eddie Murphy dated back in 2006 and welcomed a baby girl named Angel the following year, the same year of their breakup. Rumors surrounding their bond’s demise range from infidelity to lack of interest.

In 2007, the Coming to America actor placed a gag order upon the Scary Spice blocking her from discussing details about their relationship. The court order was made under the condition Murphy takes a paternity test in the case of Angel, due to his alleged denial of the child. There was also a financial deal in place for Mel’s secrecy through their lawyers.

The legal team of the book’s publishers is reportedly looking into ways around the controversial topic as the British singer has been restrained from discussing any personal or financial aspects of Murphy’s sex life. Details about her rocky relationship with her ex-husband Stephen Belafonte will reportedly have a chapter, but he has apparently threatened to sue her.

Mel B promised her fans that she will reveal the details behind all of her eventful breakups in her autobiography, but it seems as though the details the people really want to read do not stand a chance at life. The threat of the legal gag may trigger her to hit a different angle with the book and feasibly it should be the bond with her fellow Spice sisters. Brutally Honest is set to be released in November.
