One of the four murder suspects in the shooting death of XXXtentacion may have to get another lawyer as his court-appointed attorney has filed a motion to be taken off of the high-profile case.
Robert Allen’s public defender in his first degree murder and robbery with a firearm cases is claiming a conflict of interest and is asking to be withdrawn as Allen’s representation.
Being that the Broward County Public Defender’s office represents Allen and at least one of the other defendants, Dedrick WIlliams, so the office believes it ethically precludes them from representing Allen and claims the “interests of Mr. Williams are adverse to the interest of Mr. Allen and this adverse interest should be the subject of effective cross-examination.”
There is a hearing in Broward County Circuit Court tomorrow (August 1) to make a decision on the matter.
22-year-olds Richard Allen, Dedrick Williams and Michael Boatwright have all been charged with first-degree murder in the death of Jahseh Onfroy aka XXXtenctacion.
