The well-known Heaven’s Gate cult has called out Lil Uzi Vert for copyright infringement regarding the artwork for his new forthcoming album Eternal Atake.

The “All My Friends Are Dead” rapper unveiled the cover art for the new album on Instagram, which eerily resembles the logo used by Heaven’s Gate, the group most widely recognized for their 1997 mass suicide.

The group, which was founded by Marshall Applewhite in the 1970s, taught his followers that they would be saved from God’s wrath in an alien spaceship.

A rep from the group told rap website Genius.com, “He is using and adapting our copyrights and trademarks without our permission and the infringement will be taken up with our attorneys. This is not fair use or parody, it it a direct and clear infringement.”

Uzi Vert has yet to respond to the accusations.
