With the acquisition of LeBron James, the Los Angeles Lakers immediately went into building out the rest of their roster for 2018-19, which included the head-scratching signing of point guard Rajon Rondo.
Many looked at the signing of Rondo as bad news for second-year point guard Lonzo Ball, but the seasoned vet states that he is coming to the team in whatever role is requested of him, including serving as a mentor to Lonzo.
“My main objective is to win. I’m here to help develop Lonzo as much as possible. If I’m not starting and he’s starting, he’s going to be ready to go and ready for anybody that comes his way. And we’ll be ready to roll,” Rondo told TMZ. “As a whole, as a team, I’m looking forward to getting together with all the young guys and even the older guys and put our minds together and figure out the best way to get W’s.”
You will be able to catch Rondo, Lonzo, LeBron and the rest of the new #LakeShow starting in October and circle your calendar for their showdown with the Warriors on Christmas Day.
