On Tuesday [August 7th], Kevin Gates conducted his first interview since being released from jail with Los Angeles radio station, REAL 92.3 LA. Gates sat with Bootleg Kev & DJ Hed doing his best to answer their questions but making it very clear that, in all actuality, he wasn’t prepared to do the interview at that particular time.
After being asked a number of questions Gates specifically stated, “How long we gotta do this? You have to think — I just come out of jail. I didn’t even get time to transition. I feel like I’m getting interrogated.”
Despite the apprehension due to the impromptu interview, Gates did in fact, confirm that he has been working on his upcoming project, Luca Brasi 3. According to Gates, the project is complete but he just doesn’t stop working so things could possibly be added or taken away. Luca Brasi 3 is the sequel to Gates’ two mixtapes, Luca Brasi and Luca Brasi 2 — yet, Luca Brasi 3 will be an album instead.
