As Serena Williams — tennis court G.O.A.T. and overall goddess of everything she touches — prepares for the U.S. Open in a few weeks, Nike and Virgil Abloh are outfitting her in some seriously fly gear with the official “QUEEN” capsule set.
The collection arrives in the form of two finely-tuned and tulled dresses — one for “daytime” and one for “nighttime,” of course — and performance sneakers branded especially for Serena. Each dress incorporates Virgil’s signature all-caps and quotations lettering, fittingly spelling out “SERENA” in some places and “LOGO” on others. The footwear options include the NikeCourt Flare 2 PE, Air Max 97 and Blazer Mid SW, with each silhouette featuring a colorful gradient effect in its own special way.
