Sam Smith pissed off a ton of fans when he said he didn’t like Michael Jackson’s music but now fellow singers are emerging with the smoke for the “Stay With Me” singer. Soul singer and MJ’s ex-bae Stephanie Mills clapped at Sam Smith for stating that he wasn’t a fan of the King of Pop on Instagram.
“Don’t come for MICHAEL JACKSON when you wish you have sold as many records and you wish you were the King of Pop like he was,” Mills wrote.
Stephanie Mills went on to seemingly point out how white artists will sing Black music as a style of their own, and in Sam’s case discredit the legends before them. “I’m so tired of you people studying our music, and studying our artist and claiming that you don’t like our music.”
Mills also let it be known she is prepared for any return smoke that Smith has to offer with the warning “come for me if you want to.”
