Of course, Angela Yee is most known for her role as one of three co-hosts on the popular syndicated radio morning show, The Breakfast Club. Yet, she far exceeds just a radio host.

Back in 2016, Yee and her co-host, DJ Envy, partnered to open a new health-conscious juice bar, Juices for Life, in Bed Stuy, Brooklyn with a goal of spreading health awareness in the local community. In addition, Yee launched her very own book club, Angela Yee Book Club, in Brownsville, in which each month they meet to fellowship and discuss a newly assigned book. As if that’s not more than enough responsibility under her belt, Yee created the Run With Yee running club in Prospect Park, Wealth Wednesdays at Juices for Life, launched a subscription-based pressed juice delivery service, and has joined the We Are Family Foundation board.

Due to her willingness to continue to do and be more for her community, Yee was just awarded her very own day in New York City. On August 28th, New York City mayor, Bill de Blasio, officially declared August 28th Angela Yee Day. In addition to her very own day in New York City, Yee was also named brand ambassador for the New York Public Library to encourage New York residents to get their library card and explore what their local branch has to offer.

New York Public Library President, Tony Marx, stated:

“Angela Yee is a remarkable person whose success as a radio personality, entrepreneur and writer is equaled by her insatiable desire to give back to her city and its people. Despite all that’s on her plate, Angela has always found the time and energy to support and advocate for wonderful causes near to her heart, and we are so grateful to be one of them. We welcome her energy and passion, and thank her for supporting the library’s mission to make opportunity and knowledge accessible to all.”

Congrats to Angela Yee for such well deserved accomplishments!
