Texas legend Bun B has released this week his fifth solo studio album in Return of The Trill which features the likes of Pimp C, Big K.R.I.T., Yo Gotti, Lil Wayne, Run The Jewlez, 2 Chainz and London legend Giggs. As one half of the influential and chart-topping Southern hip-hop group UGK with the late and great Pimp C (RIP), Bun B has carved out a significant legacy in hip-hop since UGK’s debut Too Hard to Swallow was released in late 1992.

With dozens of releases under his belt over the last 25 years, Return of The Trill marks Bun B’s re-entry to Hip-Hop in a major way since his fourth studio album was released back in late 2013, the successful Trill OG: The Epilogue on Rap-A-Lot Records. Over the last five years, Bun B has kept busy with dozens of features and an evergrowing list of interests outside of music.

The lead single for Return of the Trill was released in March titled “Knowwhatimsayin” featuring Slim Thug and Lil Keke, while the second single of the album, “Recognize” features T.I. and Big K.R.I.T. film clip was released exclusively last week on WSHH – watch below.

Bun B recently passed through The Breakfast Club and talks on things world tour with Gumball 3000, his wife encouraging him to get back into the recording studio to make this new album, his Trill Meals, family issues plus much more with DJ Envy and Angela Yee. The hip-hop icon also stopped by Sway In The Morning to talk his legacy in the game, personal struggles in his career and the incredible legacy that DJ Ready Red had contributed to Houston hip-hop as a producer and DJ on much of the Geto Boys early, discography defining work.
