On Thursday, September 13, J.PERIOD brings this dynamic format to Sony Hall in New York for a star-studded, one-night-only affair, The Live Mixtape (#Top5 Edition) featuring Rakim, Pharoahe Monch, and featuring special guest Black Thought. Listed among this week’s top concerts by The New York Times, three of hip hop’s all-time elite MC’s will share the stage for this historic hip-hop moment. The Live Mixtape puts lyricism center stage and makes a case for these 3 fire-breathing MCs among hip hop’s all-time #Top5.

2018 has seen some of The Live Mixtape’s most electric installments to date, with shows at The Kennedy Center, Brooklyn Academy of Music and The Roots Picnic (Philadelphia), featuring Black Thought, Styles P, Jadakiss, Fabolous, Posdnuos (De La Soul), Mumu Fresh & Dead Prez.
