Last week Naomi Osaka became a tennis superstar when she won her first Grand Slam championship by besting icon Serena Williams in straight sets at the U.S. Open. Osaka pulled in over $3 million with her win but that was just the start of her paydays, Yahoo reports Osaka has signed a deal with Adidas that is worth $8.5 million annually.
The 20-year-old Haitian-Japanese star will be the largest deal provided to a female tennis player by Adidas. The report also states Osaka’s value is high due to her Japanese and Haitian descent, while also appealing to the United States market.
Oska now has a queen size bag to match her Queen music choice. Naomi Osaka has also recently become a brand ambassador for Nissan. Congrats to the young superstar on her win and new deals.
