Although The Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, passed a month ago her legacy continues to thrive. Following Franklin’s funeral which featured performances that were highly publicized and critiqued, she is said to be honored at the American Music Awards this October.
We are sure folks are wondering who will take on the tribute to the Queen of Soul during the AMA’s. Fortunately, the guest performers have been announced and we are sure you won’t be disappointed. Reportedly, Gladys Knight, Cici Winans, Donnie McClurkin, Mary Mary, and Ledisi are all called to set the stage on fire.
The celebration is set to air live on ABC network from the Microsoft Theater on October 9th.
