Over the weekend the Hip-Hop community was wondering about the health of Childish Gambino and how would it affect the rest of his This Is America tour. We now know that the remaining dates will be rescheduled and his appearance at the Austin City Limits schedule will be canceled.
Fans that are looking to see Gambino on his last tour will now have to wait until December. For those fans in Seattle, the tour is canceled as a result of venue renovations, but refunds are available for fans at the point of purchase.
While on stage in Dallas, Gambino showed signs of his injury and cut his set 30 minutes short. At the time, and now, there was no confirmed injury but rumors around the arena stated a broken foot. Following, Gambino showed up to venues by wheelchair.
The lone appearance for Childish Gambino in October will be at the Voodoo Music + Arts Experience in New Orleans. The full Live Nation statement is available below:
“Childish Gambino has been forced to postpone his remaining “This Is America Tour” stops until later this year due to an injury. The rescheduled routing can be found below. Tickets will be honored for the newly scheduled dates. The Seattle show is canceled due to venue renovations and refunds for that date are available at point of purchase.
Childish Gambino’s appearance at the Voodoo Music + Arts Experience in New Orleans on October 27 is moving forward as planned. His appearance at Austin City Limits Music Festival is canceled. Justice will headline on both Saturdays (October 6 and 13) alongside Metallica, and Travis Scott will headline both Sundays (October 7 and 14) alongside Arctic Monkeys. Fans with a Weekend Two Saturday 1-Day Ticket may exchange at no charge for a Weekend Two Sunday 1-Day Ticket by contacting Front Gate Tickets. Exchanges must be requested by Tuesday, October 2 at 11:59pm CT.”
