Although not built with the same translucent construction of its predecessor, the new Chuck 70 iteration from Louis Vuitton’s leading menswear designer opts for a more classic canvas upper. The signature OFF-WHITE™ stripes are incorporated into the midsole, with the arrow logo engraved on the insoles for added collaborative detailing. The stark black and white colorway is interrupted slightly by orange accents in the form of a zip-tie, vulcanized sole and in the Converse logo co-branded on the insole with the arrows. The bold quotation lettering that’s become synonymous with all Abloh creations makes its way on the side panel, spelling out the origin date of the Chuck Taylor All Star — ‘”CHUCK TAYLOR ALL STAR” Malden, Massachusetts USA c. 1917’ to be exact — so this one is right on line to sell out fast like the rest of this guy’s cool concoctions.
