Janelle Monáe will be putting her acting hat back on and will be featured in a biopic on the life of Harriet Tubman. Variety reports the Dirty Computer singer will join a cast lead by Cynthia Erivo who will portray Tubman.

The new film will be titled Harriet and is set to also star Leslie Odom Jr., Joe Alwyn, Jennifer Nettles, Clarke Peters and more. In the Director’s chair is Kasi Lemmons and the film will begin to film this month in Virginia.

Monáe will also be in the star of the animated movie UglyDolls and will also set up original songs, a family film that tells the story of a storied toy brand.
