IamG began creating music his sophomore year while attending the Bandier Program at Syracuse University. Born in New York, IamG is not only influenced by Jay Z, Notorious B.I.G, and Run DMC, but also classic all-time greats such as Earth, Wind & Fire, Parliament Funkadelic and the Jackson 5.
Expanding his fan base to over 20 colleges and universities in the region, he was able to gain support from major college blogs, which quickly helped him receive nationwide exposure. He continues to generate a diehard fan following, both through his independently released music, and as a revered live performer. IamG opened for the likes of Wiz Khalifa, Big Sean and played to sold out crowds across the country on a nationwide tour with Mike Stud.
The Bandier graduate is taking his grind to the next level with the release of his latest Single “Catch A Lick” for Universal Studio’s movie “The First Purge”, surpassing 1 Million streams. He has just release his latest EP “Serendipity of Love” inspired from his Jamaican roots, and has a special feature from Grammy Award Winner Eric Bellinger. IamG is ready to reach a wider audience with his creative writing skills, and his ear for crafting tracks that are stripped-back yet explosive.
