The New York Giants have lost again. Just a week after Odell’s explosive interview on the state of the team, the superstar wide receiver was seen walking off the field just before halftime as the Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles were handing out a fade to the G-Men. Fans suspected that Odell was fed up, instead, he was just trying to get rehydrated.
“I was cramping, so I was trying to get an IV,” Beckham told ESPN. “The halftime break is really only five or 10 minutes. If I can use a couple of extra seconds to go and get an IV and come out, that’s really all it was.”
The explanation from OBJ was cosigned by head coach Pat Shurmur who stated that Odell went to get an IV and to avoid cramping that occurred two weeks prior when the Giants battled the New Orleans Saints.
The second half of the game didn’t go any better for the Giants and the Eagles essentially did whatever they wanted to do on the field on the way to a lopsided 34-13 loss on national television.
There were a few bright spots for the New York Giants, Saquon Barkley had a monster game. Per usual, Eli Manning didn’t. Maybe he does need to listen to Tha Carter V. The Giants sucky season rolls on.
