Philly Rapper AR-Ab Facing Multiple Charges from Federal Drug Investigation Shawn Grant October 19, 2018 Hip Hop News | Trending Hip Hop Stories Trouble has hit Philadelphia rapper AR-Ab who is one of nine men that is indicted on federal drug charges. The Department of Justice revealed the charges, stating AR-Ab (born Abdul West) is the head of a drug trafficking organization in Philly. The charges stacked against AR-Ab is pretty heavy, citing an operation that ran between March 2017 and June 2018. In September of 2017, a property owned by AR-Ab on North Sydenham Street held crack, heroin, methamphetamine, a gun and $8,000 in cash, while a different property near Christopher Columbus Street had cocaine, more meth and $20,000 more dollars. The indictment includes charges of conspiracy to distribute five kilograms or more of cocaine over 280 grams of crack, over 50 of methamphetamine and 100 grams or more of heroin. There are additional charges related to drugs and firearm possession. “The charges alleged in the superseding indictment are extremely serious, and if convicted, these defendants are facing major jail time,” William McSwain, U.S. Attorney said. “The investigation and prosecution of drug trafficking organizations remains a high priority of this Office and the Department of Justice.” the case against AR-Ab and the other associated men was investigated by the FBI and the Philadelphia Police Department.
