Ultimate Rap League has announced the third battle for their first event to be held overseas, in Summer Madness 8 in London. The tried and test veteran that is New York’s Iron Solomon who has a very strong year will face off against the relative underdog T-Top on Saturday 10 November. In a battle that is sure to be a test /opportunity for T-Top, Iron Solomon can cement his place back in the top tier with another win.
Having previously battled the likes of Murda Mook, JC, Daylyt, Rum Nitty, Chilla Jones and Danny Myers amongst many others, Iron has well and truly cemented his place in battle rap well before his recent strong streak. T-Top himself has faced off against the likes of Bigg K, JC, Geechi Gotti, Ave, Tsu Surf, Goodz, Math Hoffa, T-Rex, Charlie Clips, Shotgun Suge proving that he can hang on the main stage of a URL Summer Madness with a veteran like Solomon. Sure to be a classic battle and will be interesting to see how they match up on the day on foreign land.
This announcement comes on the back of the Battle of Da Don’s headliner for Summer Madness 8, with Hollow Da Don set to face his name-sake nemesis in JJDD in what is sure to be a heated encounter and is long awaited. Tay Roc vs. Pat Stay has also been announced, peep our preview to the style clash here. With only three battles announced to date for SM8, the card is already looking fire and has sent battle rap fans into a frenzy. It will be interesting to see how all the battle emcees adapt to an away URL crowd in London – now a long, long way away from New York’s home.
