Earlier this year Netflix called it quits on Luke Cage tot he dismay of some fans, but now Matt Murdock sees the same fate as Daredevil will not be renewed beyond season three. Deadline reports the longest running of the original Marvel series on Netflix has been cut.

“We are tremendously proud of the show’s last and final season and although it’s painful for the fans, we feel it best to close this chapter on a high note,” Netflix issued in a statement. “We’re thankful to our partners at Marvel, showrunner Erik Oleson, the show’s writers, stellar crew and incredible cast including Charlie Cox as Daredevil himself, and we’re grateful to the fans who have supported the show over the years.”

Netflix would reveal that the character is not dead and could be seen In future Marvel productions.

For the comic fans, Luke Cage and Daredevil are not the only series to bite the dust. Iron Fist was also canceled.
