Breakups are hard for everyone. In the Hip-Hop world, artists have been using their lyrics to throw shade at their exes for a long time, and on the few rare occasions where rappers have had the opportunity to combine an ex-diss with a rap beef (another staple of the Hip-Hop genre), it’s almost impossible to pass up. Therefore it should come as absolutely no surprise to anyone that Cardi B and Meek Mill, both of whom reportedly have issues with Nicki Minaj (professionally and romantically, respectively) would collaborate on a new song on Mill’s upcoming album.

Aside from Minaj’s potential influence, it was only a matter of time before the two teamed up for a track. After all, they’re two of the most prominent names in Hip-Hop, they’re both signed to the Atlantic record label, and they both….ok, let’s just get back to the Nicki thing. After reportedly dating on and off for several years, Minaj and Mill officially called it quits in 2017. As for Cardi B and Nicki? Their ongoing feud came to a head at a fashion week event earlier this year.

The song, “On Me,” is anticipated to be released on Championships, Mill’s latest album dropping on November 30. While Mill insists that the song has nothing to do with his and Minaj’s breakup, many insiders and fans are inclined to believe otherwise.

While lyrics to the track haven’t officially been released yet, Cardi B can be heard rapping the following lyrics on a short Instagram clip:  “B*tches be miserable…”

Whether she’s speaking of Minaj or not, will remain a mystery.

What is known is that she probably better hope that her and Offset never get divorced because if there’s another thing the Hip-Hop world is known for, it’s holding grudges.
