Shoe Palace may be a go-to spot for the latest sneaker and athletic apparel now, but back when things first launched in 1993 it operated as one of those all-appliances shops. Now, with help from Converse, the longstanding retailer is getting back to the roots with a booming set of Chuck ’70s.

Arriving as the brand’s last official 25th anniversary offering of the year, the Shoe Palace x Converse “Boom Box” Pack gives us a two-shot deal of kicks, featuring the Chuck Taylor All Star 70 Hi. With one black and one white option, both utilizing a similar canvas construction, the design includes radio dial motifs that reflect the OG days of selling electronics, “Bascom” and “1993” etched on the sole to signify the first brick and mortar on Bascom Ave in San Jose and a boom box embroidered onto the tongue to bring the whole theme together. A throwback for sure, and each iteration does a good job at reminding us of how far the brand has come.

The Shoe Palace x Converse Chuck Taylor All Star ’70 Hi arrives tomorrow (December 7) over in the Shoe Palace online shop. See the full lookbook below:
